I teach Communications Technology in an Alberta, Canada high school. We have a student body of 650 students and are in the process of renovating our school to meet 21st century needs. I am thrilled to be at my school in this position as it is my first public education position after a decade long hiatus from the k-12 system. As I am in Alberta, we are on Mountain Standard Time. I am available from approximately 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm Mountain Standard Time Monday through Friday. As well, I am available most Saturdays and Sundays. I can be contacted via my Walden email address.

children.jpgHello Everyone.
I am so glad to recognize so many names in this group. It seems as though many of us are heading towards the end of our journey at Walden and I am approaching this with a mixture of excitement and trepidation.
Currently I teach third graders in an International School in Belgrade, Serbia. It is a great place to work and I have been fortunate to travel around the world in my career (hence the image I chose). My time zone is GMT +1 hour. Deanna shared with us a great tool for quickly working out time differences, I linked it here to help us visualize convenient times for collaboration.
Meanwhile, I will be checking the discussion threads here regularly and, I agree with DD, let's try and keep as much of our conversation inside the wiki as we can. I look forward to sharing my insights on new and emerging technologies with you.

Hello all. I teach Spanish at Elida High School in Elida, OH. This year I am teaching Spanish 1, 3, and AP Spanish. Along with teaching, I am also the Student Council Advisor and the head sound tech in our auditorium. I am on Eastern time. I am currently in the middle of adopting a child so most nights I am going somewhere or doing something for that. I also am in the middle of the school musical right now, so that is taking a lot of my time. And I also have two boys that pretty much take the rest of my time. So I don't really have a standard time I am available, but will do my best to keep up with what is going on and contribute to our wiki. I'm looking forward to finishing this course and the Master's program.

David Broom: My name is David Broom and I teach 3rd grade in Springville, New York. Springville is located 30 minutes outside of Buffalo and is a rural school. I also coach JV boys basketball at Springville. I am married and my wife and I have just started a family with our two month old baby girl named Claire Jane. It is amazing and is a ton of work at the same time!

My name is Sara Cutbirth. I teach technology in a specials rotation for grades K-5. I live in Aurora, Colorado with my husband and two boys. Joshua is 8 and Ethan is 6. They keep me very busy!! Technology is a new assignment for me this year and has been an adjustment. I taught 3rd and 4th grade for the past eleven years,so it has been weird getting used to not having my own class of students. I have enjoyed this past week as other teachers in the building were completing report cards and conferences.
